Women’s Wear Daily
“Often called “the fashion bible,” Women’s Wear Daily serves as the voice of authority, international newswire and agent of change for the fashion, beauty and retail industries. First and foremost, WWD is dedicated to providing a balance of timely, credible business news and key women’s fashion trends to a dedicated readership. This readership includes retailers, designers, manufacturers, marketers, financiers, Wall Street analysts, international moguls, media executives, ad agencies, socialites and trend makers. As the marketplace has become more complex, the need for information and competitive intelligence has become more acute. The common thread of our community is the business of style and fashion. What makes WWD the authority? Frequency, integrity, independence, spirited coverage and a long tradition that demands staffers get the story and get it first.”
International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day (IWD), annually on 8 March, is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. In some places like China, Russia, Vietnam and Bulgaria, IWD is a national holiday.

Chicks Who Click Blog
Chicks Who Click Blog is a great resource for women bloggers, links to interesting articles. Learn from women in technology. A great site although (currently) hard to read the green text on blue background in the sidebars, but definitely worth checking out!
dooce
A site about women’s websites wouldn’t be complete without dooce.com. I have nothing but admiration for Heather B. Armstrong, it is in my opinion one of the best women’s blogs out there. I could spend hours on dooce, it is open and honest and all about real life, better than any reality show.
My husband was recently relieved of his employment for putting something in an email, had he been a dooce reader maybe he would have been aware of the power of the written word. Nowadays it is so important to think before you put anything out there electronically, it can always come back to bite you. As I sit here thinking about the power of the written word and it coming back to bite me, I have no more I can say about my current situation, which is why I admire Heather B. Armstrong so much for having the guts to put her life out there and speak her mind. Her job is based on speaking her mind because she created her job to suit her life, while many of us have to choose our words very carefully, or you could lose everything just for speaking your mind.

Women’s Health Magazine
“Women’s Health reaches a new generation of women who don’t like the way most women’s magazines make them feel.
Women’s Health is for the woman who wants to reach a healthy, attractive weight but doesn’t equate that with having thighs the size of toothpicks. We know that exercising and eating well will make you happier and stronger (even if after-work runs can really suck). That looking and feeling good have very little to do with cosmetics and high heels (though they can help you feel glamorous on a Saturday night). And that life can be stressful since there’s never enough time, but balance is achievable (with a little help).
Most of all, WH focuses on what you can do, right now, to improve your life.”
The WIP – Women’s International Perspective
The WIP [Women's International Perspective] is a comprehensive news website that reports world news, opinion, and commentary from female contributors around the world. The site claims that its mission “is to provide quality news from the unique perspectives of women that is accessible worldwide and free to our readers.” The WIP seeks to rectify the under-representation of female journalists and to offer “a greater diversity of background and opinion than typically found in one online news publication.”
